BLIKKIE PIZZERIA

Blikkie Pizzeria is housed in a traditional fisherman's cottage, which is more than 110 years old. The establishment of the pizzeria is the realisation of a dream and the passion of the owners is clearly seen in the decor, service and friendliness. Our pizzas are cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven and our crunchy, thin bases are prepared according to an age-old Sicilian family recipe. The bases are freshly prepared every day with the freshest ingredients for the toppings. Where possible, we source our products locally.

GAATJIE

Explore the Paternoster Voorstrandt beach and you will come accross, tucked in amongst the rocks, a simple white-washed fisherman's cottage, some 70 years in age. Gaaitjie (meaning 'small hole') has turned restaurant and we recreate traditional feelings of comfort from our kitchen which is situated in the middle of the restaurant. The decor is simple yet comfortable, so emphasis remains on the food;- tasty classic and local dishes with a twist, cooked from the freshest, and whenever possible, locally sourced produce. Wines are West Coast specific too!
All food is cooked to order, therefore time is taken but as one diner mentioned, "haven't got anywhere else to be right now"! Feel free to pop into the kitchen so we may accommodate any dietary requirements.

VOORSTRANDT RESTAURANT

This quaint little restaurant is on the beachfront in Paternoster. It is an old fishermans house build out of wood and corrugated roofing. The place is very busy so it is best to book even for lunch especially if you would like a table out on the verandah which is lovely in summer but would make sure to be inside in the winter as the Cape can be very cold and wet at that time of the year. Just ask about the catch of the day. It is so fresh you can taste the sea.
